Naturopathic Services

My Mission

I'm here to help

I use scientifically validated and traditional herbal medicines regularly in my practice, to gently nudge the body towards healthy function. I do this with a food first approach adjusting diet and lifestyle to get you feeling better than ever.

Good health is the most important asset we have.

As a Naturopath, I look for the root cause for your health complaint. I work quickly to restore the foundations of health to have you feeling better than ever.

I help people to make lasting changes to improve their health through integrated nutrition and an individual approach to your health.

what does a naturopath do?

My Services

Your health is an equation of your genetics, lifestyle, environmental exposures and diet. I believe we are bio-individuals so a protocol approach simply does not work for everyone. Which is why I provide a highly individualised service to all my patients.

I help my clients reach their health and wellness goals through identifying and crowding out bad habits that may be compounding or exacerbating a condition. I help my patients to find and create ‘new and good’ habits, correcting pathological conditions through nutritional and herbal medicines, empowering you by providing patient education of human biochemical processes, nutritional analysis, personalised wellbeing strategies and meal planning.

My use the naturopathic principles to guide my treatment planning and provide:

  • Holistic lifestyle modification advice
  • Nutrition and diet planning for health goals and complex conditions
  • Herbal medicines for acute and chronic conditions
  • Nutritional medicines required if deficiency determined by standard blood test
  • Advanced Pathology testing from standard blood tests
  • Functional testing for hormones and neurotransmitters as required
  • Food allergy and intolerance testing and planning – I always recommend talking to me first to avoid expensive and sometimes unnecessary testing
  • Cooking classes
Clinical Naturopathy

Digestive health - IBS to food intolerance

If digestion isn’t functional, we can’t absorb nutrients from our food. I always start here through the use of nutrition, diet plans and menus as well as herbal medicines and nutritional supplements to support detoxification and managing the cravings! • IBS and IBD • Bloating, constipation and diarrhoea • Food intolerance • Hypochlorhydria and reflux (heartburn) • Weight management • Parasites • SIBO

Stress and Fatigue support

Naturopathy uses a holistic approach to re-invigorating the body by supporting it’s immune and nervous system. For clients suffering the impacts of stress and fatigue, a focus is also given to providing the energy and ability to positively handle stress and improve the body’s coping mechanisms. Stress and fatigue are as fundamental to treat as digestive issues. • Adrenal fatigue • Insomnia and sleep • Cognitions and memory • Hormonal imbalance

Mental health and the gut-brain axis

With the right building blocks, your body systems work correctly. Your brain needs carbohydrates for fuel, amino acids (from protein) for neurotransmitters and healthy fats for cell structure, nutrition and your gut microbiome, ‘epigenetics’, hormonal balance, metabolism, life stage, blood sugar regulation, methylation and detoxification pathways, diet and lifestyle as factors for mental health. • Stress and Anxiety • Depression • Addictions • ADHD • Autism spectrum • Insomnia

Women’s health

Naturopaths often see dysregulation of hormonal imbalance, inflammation, mood. We can support you with: • PMS • Fertility • Pregnancy • Post-partum and breastfeeding

Detoxification

Understanding the impact that environmental toxins can have on your well-being. Georgia can develop a plan with you to detoxify as gently and easily as possible. • Kidney and genitourinary health • Liver function • Methylation • Skin health

Skin conditions

Skin conditions can be sensitive and difficult as they reoccur or flare up. Our skin is like our second liver and skin conditions are often indicative of an underlying imbalance or cause in the body. Georgia is trained to provide support and relief for symptoms while treating you to decrease the rate and severity of re-occurrence. • Eczema • Acne • Dandruff

How can a Naturopath help to improve my health?

A Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy is a four year science degree with a clinical component. It covers chemistry, biology, anatomy, microbiology, pathology, medical diagnostics, psychology and counseling, nutritional medicine, dietetics, herbal medicine, sociology and myotherapy. A Naturopath is trained to look at all the signs and symptoms you present with along with the patho-physiology of how systems work optimally to find the root cause of your health concerns and provide treatment based on mimicking mother nature, to gently persuade the body’s natural mechanisms to start the healing process.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

I usually recommend an Initial Consultation a review and follow up for simple presentations. If something is more complex, I usually create a plan to step out the process and tell you what is coming up in subsequent appointments – like a road map. That way, you can manage your own diet, supplements are available on repeats as necessary and only need to re-book for anything new that comes up or isn’t resolving as we predict.

I have a three-pack available to save you a bit of money in appointment fees too.

Generally, it takes the amount of time you have had the condition in years, as months to recover from chronic disease.

Yes. Absolutely. I see people from Darwin to Perth, Melbourne, regional and rural NSW and also New Zealand. We simply book a Telehealth consultation which can be provided either securely via Zoom or by phone. It’s the same experience, only not in my clinic room.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. I don’t mind at all if you need to bring your younger children in to the appointment room – I have a large basket of toys. Partners can often be a beneficial part of a consultation, as they can help jog memories and ask me questions that they might have about how they can help.

Are you wondering if a Naturopath can help you or your child? I would like to help by offering you a Free 15 Minute Discovery Consultation, to make sure Naturopathy is right for you and your condition.

Yes! This is a great free option – with only a 15-minute investment of your time!

Suitable for the person who would like to briefly discuss their concerns and be told either ‘yes or no, I can help’ and potentially be referred to the practitioner who can help with that particular concern.
